Ok so here's my embarrasing little story. I have the strong urgency to go to the bathroom but when I do it won't pass. It's like a rock is stuck in my rectum no matter how much I strain I know straining is bad but I'm desparate it won't budge. It's annoying and I can't sleep like this knowing that I have to go but it's stuck. Its an annoying feeling you know? lol Do you think a fleet enema would help break it up?

I've been constipated for five days now and it's really uncomfortable, since my stomach is constantly bloated and bulging. I've tried drinking prune juice, but it doesn't seem to help. It does seem to be loosening something up in my intestines, since I hear a grumbling noise after I drink it. But nothing comes out Is there anything else that works? besides enema that's the ultimate last resort for me

I am a vegetarian, but mostly vegan, but I have problems with constipation. I prefer natural cures, but I have not found anything that works for me. Here is some further information I eat about 333 % of my recommended daily fiber intake according to Livestrong.com. I track my food on a daily basis. I eat many, many servings of vegetables and fruits a day and quite a bit of whole grains.I drink egregious amounts of water a day, causing me to urinate 8 14 times a day. I also drink 8 glasses of warm water every day, and supplement with luke warm or cold if I feel thirsty.I still suffer from constipation on a fairly regular basis. My stool is very wet and soft. I usually avoid taking any laxatives, but I do eat prunes or other homeopathic remedies. They are ineffective, as are all fruit juices, fiber filled foods, vegetables, or fruit recommendations. Soy yogurt also has no effect, even with the probiotics.I can lose four pounds in one day if I am able to go to the bathroom if this helps to illustrate how severe the problem can be.I have tried stimulant supplements like ex lax but these have little or no effect. They might help that day, but not the overall problem. I'm not sure what else to try at this point Suggestions?I've been a vegetarian for 8 years, so it's unlikely that there is any connection to my vegetarian diet. This problem is recent.
