Does anyone know if this is a real cure for colds used by Australian Natives?
I read this book, where this guy has to survive in Australia with Natives chasing him, but he makes friends with a small boy, half way through the book he gets the flu, then the Native boy says its an evil spirit and does this Dug a rectangular hole in the sand, then put branches and leaves there, and got the man in the hole, it says the man was worse for that night, but woke up in the morning feeling much better, does anyone know if this is or was a real remedy used by Australian Natives?

Any Cure for Cold? Need to sing for musical!?
I'm the lead role in my school musical and I'm starting to get sick. I need to sing very loudly, and project my voice. My cold hasn't gotten very bad, it just hurts a bit to swallow and i have to clear it often. I don't want to get worse and i want to be better before the performance. It is on May 12. I know colds don't last very long but they do sometimes for me. Is there any medicine, cough candies, or even food to help my voice?P.S. I don't really want to use any medicines, if possible.
