To cure constipation - any ayurvedic remedy?
suffering constipatioon past 27 years. was using Herbolax by doctors advice. Now need any other Ayrvedic medicine because Hebolax due to long use is not effective. I am in 70s nad bypass surgery.
How to cure constipation from taking narcotics?
I just got a breast augmentation on Tuesday, and for the pain the gave me oxicodone and Valium. I haven't really been taking them since yesterday. I'm to the point now where all I need us Tylenol and ibuprofen. Anyway...the narcotics have left me unbearably constipated I've tried everything I can think of to relieve it stool softeners, massaging my stomach, prune juice, ridiculous amounts of water, fruit, I tried a suppository TWICE last night and today , and those usually work wonders for me. Notes much this time. I'm trying so hard to avoid laxatives, because they have caused me a lot of pain in the past. Any suggestions on what I can do? I seriously don't need stomach problems along with the post surgery discomfort.

my poodle has constant constipation. I have tried adding olive oil to his food. he usually eats " mighty dog" chicken and bacon. dried food is available but he seldom touches it he can only eat chicken based food beef will not stay down.

I haven't had a really good, er... bowel movement in about a week. Even after that though, it still felt like everything had... come out. And since then, I've only had a little bit come out once or twice a day when I try to have a bm. Is there any way to cure this without using stool softeners? When i begin using the restroom everything is ok but towards the end i become very constipated i feel theres something there but it wont come out. How to cure constipation if you have to hold it in?
I'm 29 and have been constipated for about four years already. I've tried almost everything... laxatives, prunes, apples, eating more veggies and exercising. I think the main cause of my constipation is because I have to hold it many times when i'm at work. There is always someone in the girls room and my plops are usually very loud. I try to go to the bathroom a lot more than I have a few years ago, but even at home i just can't poop when it's late, i know my neighbours heard me a few times. There are also some times when I'm outside and don't want to use the public bathrooms because they are disgusting. What can I do to stop this? There haven't been once throughout these two years that I have not been constipated. Whatever i do and whatever i eat my stools are so hard. please help

I need to get rid of this damn constipation fast, its very painful and i'm worried its never going to go away. I have been constipated for about a week the past two days i have been taking a laxative each day for the two days. It is helping me get cleaned out but it still hurts and I don't know how long these last or anything My diet was somewhat poor last week, I was stressed a lot too Yesterday I bought some gingerale, chocolate covered rasins, and fiber bars. The reason I keep saying the last two days is because earlier in the week I had no idea what was wrong with me. I have been drinking water and hoping it will cure up. I REALLY don't want to take an enema so if anyone could help me out with tips or anything Please tell me thank you so muchh i'm 16 if that helps any.
Fiber one to cure constipation bleeding/pain?
I've been having bloos when i wipe, for the last few days. I know that my diet was normally pretty low in fiber, but had never really had constipation before. I had all the signs of constippation. Painful straining when passing bowel movements, muscle pain in rectum area after using the bathroom, and even some blood when i wipe. I just ate big bowl of Fiber One breakfast cereal, with some dried apricots and skim milk. I have gone to the bathroom twice since then, and no more touble ? Just like that Is it too good to be true, or can a heavy dose of fiber really clear that up???

it's really bad right now. i'm getting bad pain that comes and goes and my stomach feels tender in a way. i want to be able to start eating normal foods without being scared of a bad stomach ache. i want to get this fixed now. i drank 2 glasses of water and took some ex lax last night, now it's morning and i've been having small soft smelly bowl movements. and a also have stomach ache caused by gas build up, i feel it the worst when i lay down. i need foods to eat, ones that won't give me gas build up, things to do, ect. to relieve the constipation. also i've been taking midol for the pain, is that bad, i heard tylenol can constipate you.

so i am extremely healthy..whole grains, fruits and veggies, lean meats, lots of water, all that. but ive had a hard time going " number 2" for the past several days..my stomach was bloated and hard, last night i even felt like puking..i guess my food wasnt getting digested because it had no room to go, i was that backed up. i did go quite a bit this morning thank God but i still feel like im not fully " cleaned out." would it help if i went all liquid today? ive had a reallyyy big glass of milk for breakfast close to 20 oz i'd say , would staying with water, apple orange juice, V8, etc, help flush me out, or what will help relieve me? any other liquid suggestions?or would eating fruits and veggies help? im on the road all day and i have apples, oranges, bananas, tomatos, baby carrots, lettuce, any other suggestions?Thanks
